As a landscape photographer, I find many of the same challenges and delights in the smaller, designed landscapes of gardens and urban parks as in the natural and cultural landscapes of Yosemite Valley or Tuscany.
In these spaces, large and small, I look for a composition that knits the near and far, that records and interprets rhythm and movement. My commercial and personal work are ultimately about the same thing—a fascination with space, form and color. Sometimes it’s what a human hand has designed. Sometimes it’s what nature itself provides and my eye has found.
